Message from the Superintendent Each year, I always look forward to the September Civic Program! Once again, today’s program was an incredibly special representation of the beauty of Honduras, the talents of our students, and the power of coming together in celebration and patriotism! It was a pleasure to see our students sharing as leaders, through music, and through spoken word, their pride and the beauty of this country we share as our home. Viva Honduras!  Next week, as we celebrate Teacher’s Day, we also recognize our Mazapan School teachers for their professionalism, their commitment, and the heart and soul they put into their vocational calling.  Each of our teachers have worked to cultivate a meaningful relationship with their students and to deliver high quality virtual learning.  We recognize that they have gone above and beyond to deliver instruction and support to our students through these challenging times!  Mazapan School has the best teachers and we are proud of the work that you do each day in leading your students in learning experiences!  Congratulations and thank you, teachers!  I wish everyone a safe, enjoyable, and restful long weekend as we take Monday and Tuesday as a holiday to celebrate with our families the anniversary of Honduras’ independence and Teacher’s Day! Una vez más, el programa de hoy fue una representación increíblemente especial de la belleza de Honduras, los talentos de nuestros estudiantes y el poder de unirse en celebración y patriotismo. Fue un placer ver a nuestros estudiantes compartir como líderes, a través de la música y la palabra hablada, su orgullo y la belleza de este país que compartimos como nuestro hogar. ¡Viva Honduras! La  próxima semana, en celebración del Día del Maestro, reconocemos a nuestros maestros de la Escuela Mazapán por su profesionalismo, compromiso,  con vocación en su labor, poniendo el alma y corazón.  Cada uno de nuestros maestros ha trabajado para cultivar una relación significativa con los estudiantes y brindar un aprendizaje virtual de alta calidad. ¡Reconocemos que han ido más allá para brindar instrucción y apoyo a nuestros estudiantes durante estos tiempos desafiantes! ¡La escuela Mazapán tiene los mejores maestros y estamos orgullosos del trabajo que hacen cada día para guiar a los estudiantes en experiencias de aprendizaje! ¡Felicitaciones y gracias, maestros! ¡Les deseo a todos un fin de semana largo, seguro, agradable y reparador, ya que tomamos el lunes y martes como feriado para celebrar con nuestras familias el aniversario de la independencia de Honduras y el Día del Maestro!
