Sports
Physical education is offered to all students at Mazapan School. All students are required to wear the physical education uniform. Students are given the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports including daily fitness assessments. At Mazapan School, we offer an afterschool sports program that includes basketball, volleyball, and Soccer.
These sports are offered throughout the year for students grades 7 to 12. Students are coached three times a week and compete with schools within our community as well as internationally.
Mazapan School is a member of two sports leagues: ABSH – which is our national league, composed of all private and international schools within
Honduras. AASCA- which is the international league composed of schools located in
Guatemala,
El Salvador,
Honduras,
Nicaragua,
Costa Rica, and
Panama. Mazapan Sports facilities include one covered outdoor basketball court, two soccer fields, one air conditioned all purpose room, one gymnastic hall, one dance hall, one complete weight training gym, two outdoor volleyball courts, one rock climbing wall, and one softball diamond.
